For the people who care about them
Know someone we can help?
You noticed. That matters. This page is for spouses, friends, family and colleagues who want to help someone they care about find the right support, at a pace that respects them.
Starting the conversation
You don't need the perfect words.
The people we work with are often the ones everyone else leans on. They hold it together at work and at home, which can make it hard for them to say they need support, and hard for you to bring it up.
Choose a private, unhurried moment.
Not in the middle of a conflict, and not in front of others.
Lead with what you've noticed and that you care.
"You've seemed stretched thin lately, and I've been thinking about you" lands better than advice.
Offer, then let them decide.
Share this page or a name, and leave the next step with them. Reaching out on their own terms is part of what makes therapy work.
